Josef Hoffmann was one of the founders of the famous „Wiener Werkstätte“. He realised the ideas of the “Gesamtkunstwerk”, of complete work of art, in the exemplary design of the Stoclet Palais in Brussels. In addition to the architecture, he also paid close attention to applied arts and crafts, especially in the area of tablewares.
