    Description

Offered is a very special and striking sterling silver overlay bracelet designed by renowned
Arizona Hopi Indian artist Victor Coochwytewa
    (born 1922).
WESTERNWEAR  is a fashion trend! Even the Wall Street Journal says so! Thanks Prada!
This bracelet shows a desert bighorn sheep (ram), mule deer, and antelope, (all animals Victor hunted), prayer mound and prayer feathers. This is a stunning piece, perfect for any person who loves the out-of-doors and hunting in particular.
The bracelet measures approximately 6.5 inches inches around and 1.25 inches high. The reverse side shows both Victor's hallmark and that of Kopavi International, the gallery in Sedona where I purchased it.
Victor Coochwytewa was one of three Native American elders chosen as Arizona Indian Living Treasures at the seventh annual AILTA award ceremony held in Phoenix in September 1994. He is considered to be one of the great Master Silversmiths that emerged from the classes offered to returning veterans by Paul Saufkie and Fred Kabotie.
I first met Victor at his home on Second Mesa in 1985. He and his wife invited me graciously into his home where they were surrounded by grandchildren and large basins full of blue corn he had grown. He was as proud of his corn as he was of his silver-making. We talked about corn, grandchildren and hunting. He like to hunt deer on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (some of the best areas for mule deer), desert bighorn sheep and antelope.
Along with the bracelet I will send an ear of Victor's corn I bought from him.
I have other items by Victor also for sale. And I've shown photos of two other items made by Victor I sold on eBay earlier this year.
Please bid with confidence. See my 100% eBay rating.
