    HISTORICAL NOTES:
    The Patapsco Guards was organized at Ellicotts Mills, Maryland, September 25, 1861. The company drew recruits from Ellicotts Mills and Catonville. Through the course of the war, they moved from there to Harpers Ferry (now West Virginia); York, PA; Gettysburg, PA; Harrisburg, PA; and Chambersburg, PA.
