Royal Vienna Style Neoclassical Vestal Virgins Green Red & Gold Cake Plate
Beautiful porcelain cabinet handled cake plate. Nicely decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a central scene of four dancing Vestal Virgins surrounded by a ring of gold gilt beading.  The border of the plate is decorated with four panels of maroon with gold gilt laurel leaves and stars and four panels of green with gold gilt overlay and a central pink diamond with gold  beading and star. The maroon panels have a border of ivory with gold gilt leaves. The handles are also ivory with gold gilt highlights. Unmarked, but probably made in Austria or Germany around 1890 to 1910.
Has some wear to the gilding along the edge, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 10 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
