The URUSHI Collection is a modern revival of the large No.50 fountain pen called "No.50 Jumbo" in the early 1930s. The ink stopping mechanism is the same as in those days.
The top coat is made of lacquer without oil, and is polished by "roiro-finish", which is a process of repeatedly rubbing raw lacquer after polishing with charcoal.
