This is a great book on a fascinating subject. Originally published during the Centennial of the Civil War in 1960 by American Heritage, the last word on any historical subject. This edition was published in 1982.
The book has a HUGE FORMAT, and measures 11" x 9". Fully indexed. A great reference book ON EVERYTHING DEALING WITH THE CIVIL WAR. And the pictures are just great. Book is in excellent condition, with original dust cover. IT IS A HISTORICAL STANDARD and would make an excellent addition to any library or WOULD MAKE A GREAT GIFT TO A CIVIL WAR OR HISTORY ENTHUSIAST. Simply incredible content and as complete a gallery of photos and text on the subject that I have ever seen.
