Description
Clark's North Carolina Regimental Histories Signed/notes by CSA Captain Kincaid!Volumes 1 and 2 need the bindings
repaired. I took them to an antique show and through very careful handling and displaying they loosened enough for me to lower the asking price considerably. Volumes 1 and 2 were well use before I purchased
them,
and I
have
had them a couple years.
This piece of history deserves to be preserved!!!
The first two volumes are signed "
W. J. Kincaid Co. D. 11th N. C. Bethel Regiment
." William Kincaid served as his company's captain through some of the hottest fights of the Civil War. He married after the war and lived until 1923.
Personal notes about the battle of
Gettysburg on pg.
584,
to include the death of an officer at Pickets Charge.
The Books themselves are a popular historical collectible but with the added signatures and notes from a confederate officer this becomes apiece of history you can hold and share with other. These books
have
been held by and signed a man who is written about within the books. Can't get much closer to the history of the Civil War without a time machine!!!

," (Raleigh: The State of North Carolina, 1901), approximately 4,000 pages, five volumes, quarto (9.5 x 6 in.), pictorial gray linen boards emblazoned with a North Carolina state flag crossed with a Confederate battle flag.
