    Description

    The Civil War Campaign Medal.  Ed. by John M. Carroll.  Red cloth hardcover, pub. 1987 by Frontier Military Research & Preservation Society, 99 pages.  Like new.  Short history of the medal along with numerical listing with names of the first 554 awarded.  The medal was not authorized until 1907 with the first issued in 1908.  Also includes Lieber's Code and Law of War which dictated how Union soldiers were supposed to conduct themselves during the war.  Very scarce book, a must for any Civil War medal collector.  Shipping weight less than 1 pound.
