MARVELOUS ANTIQUE ROYAL VIENNA PEDESTAL BASE URN WITH HAND PAINTED SCENE FROM L'AURORA, AN ITALIAN 17TH CENTURY FRESCO
We are pleased to offer this marvelous antique Royal Vienna pedestal base urn decorated in raised gold and rich maroon to showcase the 360-degree painting called Aurora or L'Aurora, an Italian fresco finished by Guido Reni in 1614.  The top section of this urn comes out and has a metal insert that's bolted to fit perfectly inside the recess, creating a spot for ferns or other plants or fruits perhaps.  This is an impressive piece of fine porcelain, standing 15" tall and about 8" in diameter at the circular center pot, which rises on four elegant legs above paw feet.  It is hand titled "Aurora" and has the Royal Vienna beehive mark for a firm called Radner & Pilz in Vienna, dating it to a period between 1877 and 1890.
