Here is an antique book. This is The Soldier's Story of his Captivity at Andersonville, Belle Isle, and Other Rebel Prisons. It was written by Warren Lee Goss. This has an appendix at the back of the book with Union soldiers who died at Andersonville with the name, grave number rank, companies/regiments, date of death, and disease from which they died. It talks about being captured, released, captured again, attempted escapes, prison conditions and treatment and much more! This has several illustrations and maps throughout the book. The book has 357 pages. It measures about 8 1/2" by 6". Get this old book!The covers have a lot of wear. There are tears to the edges and corners. This has a label on the first page with the old owner's information. There is some writing in the book, on the last page and some names in the appendix have marks by them. The inside covers and pages have some yellowing and foxing. There is a section of pages toward the middle of the book that are loose from the binding at the bottom; they are still attached at the top. One page is completely loose, it is an illustration page before the appendix. This page has some tiny tears to the edges.
